Noesis is an ancient Greek word with a dual meaning: the ability to perceive, the cognitive process, understanding; the concept perceived.

At Noesis we use this name to emphasize both our strong commitment and our ability to discover and implement software solutions that enable deeper, more complete understanding of complex biological problems related to the modern drug discovery problem. We firmly believe that achieving noesis and gaining a conceptual grasp of the problem at hand [i.e. knowledge extraction] can act as a major stepping stone for a succesful, more efficient drug discovery plan to be put in place [i.e. knowledge management and exploitation].
