The Company

Noesis [full name CNI Noesis Chemoinformatics Ltd] is a start-up software R&D company active in the chemoinformatics and general life sciences fields. The company was founded in 2006 in Nicosia, Cyprus by Christos Nicolaou and Helix Business Incubator. The founders have extensive experience in the chemoinformatics domain and the business opportunities it presents as well as in business development and product positioning and marketing. Noesis has gathered the necessary staff and infrastructure and has secured sufficient funding from a variety of diverse sources to pursue its goals and execute its business plan. Currently the company is implementing its strategy through in-house software research and development and collaborations with select research organizations. • October 2006: Noesis founded.
• December 2006: Noesis moves to its new offices and initiates operations.
• January 2007: Noesis receives first installment of SBIR grant awarded.
• March 2007: Scientific Advisory Board is formed.
• July 2007: Noesis website is launched.
• January 2008: Noesis is growing; Two new members added to the scientific team.
• June 2008: 3rd party developer agreement signed with OpenEye Scientific Software.
• June 2008: Release of an initial, test version of NSISToolkit to selected partenrs for testing and feedback .
• September 2008: Noesis awarded a RPF business grant designed to promote applied research leading to innovative products.
• January 2009: Noesis keeps growing; An additional software engineer has joined our team.
• February 2009: Noesis releases NSisToolkit v0.9 containing NSisUtilities fundamental chemoinformatics functionalities.
• July 2009: Presentation(keynote speaker) at Optimizing Drug Workshop; Lorentz Center, Leiden University, The Netherlands.
